Nestles employees help fund, build and plant 12 raised beds at the Carl and Alleen McKinney Unit in Bentonville. Fifteen volunteers alongside 25 kids from the Unit. are planting asparagus, basil, beans, beets, blackberries, blueberries, Brussels sprouts, cantaloupe, carrots, chives, cilantro, corn, cucumbers, dill, kale, lettuce, marigolds, okra, onions, oregano, parsley, peas, peppers, jalapenos, pumpkin, radish, rosemary, sage, shallots, spinach, squash, strawberry, thyme, tomato, turnips, watermelon, zucchini. 2 apple, peach, pear, and cherry trees. The produce from the Gardens will be used in the Cooking Matters Class, for snacks, and for families to take and prepare at home.
