Many youth become disengaged early with the education system because they fall behind. This belief is supported by the high percentage of youth who dropout by the ninth grade. A $10,000 donation from General Mills is sponsoring academic support and high yield learning activities that keep youth engaged in the learning process at the Carl & Alleen McKinney Unit in Bentonville. Their generous support will enable homework assistance and other high yield learning activities at the unit and help support a summer learning program in reading and math. A big thank you to General Mills from the children at the McKinney Unit!
