On April 21, 2011, General Mills presented the Boys and Girls Club of Benton County with a $10,000 grant to support the Boys and Girls Club nutrition and fitness program through their Campaign for Healthy Children. The program goal is for School age children to eat right, keep fit, and form positive relationships to create a healthy lifestyle. Children participate in daily fitness challenges that are of an appropriate duration and intensity and they learn how to make positive food choices in the Healthy Habits curriculum. In social recreation programs youth learn to make new friends and to be good friends. They develop a variety of important social and life skills that will serve them well throughout their lives.
