Nearly 400 of Northwest Arkansas finest showed up Thursday, July 31st to support the Boys & Girls Club of Benton County. The dress was informal with folks in leis, sundresses and shorts gathering to provide resources to develop healthy children who are successful in school and make positive life choices. The theme of the Beach Party was “Great Futures Start Here.” The guests at the 20th annual Beach Party enjoyed cocktails, a buffet, and a silent auction. Entertainment was provided by Boom Kinetic and the Hershey Company provided a “sweet table” full of a variety of chocolates for guests to enjoy. Jody Pinson, Walmart Vice President of merchandising – beauty was the honorary chair of the event. She commented about the Club “As the mother of a 13- and 17-year-old, I know it takes a village to raise teenagers, and so I love to support the Boys & Girls Club. I’m honored to support it.” Paul Wilson, golf tournament co-chair, read a poem to the crowd that encouraged each person to continue to support the organization and to “carry on” its mission.
