The Boys & Girls Club of Benton County is pleased to announce that it has been selected by the Lowes’ Charitable and Educational Foundation to receive a Lowes’ Making Dreams Program grant for the Rogers Unit. The Rogers Unit is housed in the old armory building and was in need of many updates. The grant of $42,854 will enable vast improvements to the facility. New acoustic ceiling tiles will greatly reduce the noise in program areas and refurbishing the kitchen area will allow for food to be prepared for children on-site. The generous grant funds will also be used for fresh paint in many areas, landscaping, replacing worn carpet and storage. The enhancement will make the Rogers facility a much more attractive better place for the 175 kids that attend the facility each day to learn and play. Local Lowe’s employees may also be involved as volunteers to facilitate the improvements. Upon completion of the work a community open house and ribbon cutting ceremony will be held to showcase the improvements made possible through the grant. The Boys & Girls Club of Benton County is grateful to extend its partnership with the local Lowes’ Home Improvement store in Making Dreams of Benton County children come true.
