Lily Hamilton was picked last week for the 3rd & 4th grade Star of the Week at the McKinney Unit . Her behavior has improved immensely from when she first joined the club. She used to be quick to anger and would run away from problems. At times she would even yell at staff. She had a hard time expressing her feelings. Staff members began coaching her to use ‘her words’ rather than crying or expressing anger. She always has been a delightful child, but now that she is calm, very polite, and has learned to appropriately express her feelings, she is a joy to be around. She loves to help staff clean their area. She doesn’t hesitate to help other club members when they are upset or sad. She has been complimenting her peers and making them feel happy and cheering them up.
